The Senate has accepted anti-mobbing amendements and they will now be sent to the president.

On 8 July 2026, the Senate passed in full the amendment to the Labour Code that is known as the anti-mobbying Act and it is now to be signed by the president. On Tuesday 7 July, the senate committee on legislation, the family, senior citizens, social policy, human rights, and the rule of law had had recommended it be adopted without change.

The Act simplifies the definition of workplace mobbying, provides minimum compensation - 6 times the minimum wage - for harmed employees, and compels employers of 10 or more persons to describe in workplace regulations, or in a notice, rules and procedures to prevent workplace mobbing and discrimination. There is also the possibility for an employer to seek recourse against a mobber in a workplace. A detailed description of the amendments is available on our website.

The amendments will apply 3 months after promulgation.
