Maximum temperature at the workplace only from 2027?

The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy has presented a new (third) version of a draft regulation on maximum temperatures at the workplace. Compared to the February version, two significant changes have been made.

First, it has been clarified that work will not be allowed if the temperature at work premises and in the open space due to weather conditions exceeds permissible maximums (as a rule: 35 °C in work rooms and 32 °C for open-air work involving a certain energy expenditure).

Second, the time to comply with the new regulations has been extended by one year. The regulations would take effect on 1 January 2027.

The draft has been referred again for inter-ministerial consultations.
