On March 6, we invite you to a webinar on current trends in broadly understood labour law (including immigration law, employee data protection and HR), as well as tax law.
Lawyers from Wardynski & Partners will talk about trends resulting from changes in legislation, landmark Supreme Court rulings, as well as HR practices. The meeting is a kind of balance sheet of the closing of 2023 and the opening of 2024.
The discussion will include issues such as:
- Taxation and levying contributions relating to benefits associated with business trips - what is the current practice of tax authorities and administrative courts? What should employers watch out for when determining the rules for business travel settlements?
- Global mobility - a year of change is before us. Will the first authentic migration strategy be introduced in Poland? Will we ultimately move away from the applied solutions for legalisation of work and residence of Ukrainian citizens in Poland? Will the amendment regarding the EU Blue Card and the digitisation of residence proceedings bring any change for the better?
- New requirements for pay disclosure and transparency - new employer obligations regarding equal pay. Will job applicants have the right to know their future salaries? What will wage gap reporting look like? What internal regulations will ensure compliance with the new rules?
- New technologies and AI in HR - will the future belong to digital work? Will we be fired by algorithms? Challenges of technological development in the context of HR, in particular the role of solutions based on artificial intelligence, metaverse and crowdwork.
- Whistleblowers - what responsibilities does the latest bill provide for? How should employers prepare for the legislation to take effect? When can the changes be expected?
- Platform workers - who will be covered by the directive on improving working conditions through digital platforms? What is the presumption of the employment relationship of a platform worker and when can the form of employment of a platform worker be reclassified? What challenges do we face under current and proposed data protection regulations? What obligations under GDPR towards platform workers do employers currently have? Can automated decision-making be applied to them? What are the latest decisions of supervisory authorities in this regard?
