Poland's Migration Strategy: Security Policy and Labour Market Needs
Migration is having an increasing impact on the demographic and economic shape of contemporary societies, including Poland. The population is getting older and the percentage of people of working age is falling. According to forecasts, by 2060, the number of economically active Poles may fall by as much as 40%. Issues related to immigration and the integration of foreigners are therefore not only challenging socially but also important strategically to the future of the Polish labour market.
